In Arusha City, on July 5, 2026, a major Christian choir festival of praise and worship is expected to take place, known as SHANGILIKA 2026.
According to information received by the Mwanakwetu desk on June 28, 2026, the event is set to bring together various choirs from different regions of Tanzania.
Some of the participating choirs include:
Eden Moravian Choir (Arusha), El Shaddai Choir (Dodoma), Paradise Moravian
Choir (Mbeya), Upendo Choir (Arusha), Moravian Efatha Choir (Dar es Salaam),
Tumaini Shangilieni Choir (Arusha), along with many other choirs.
The festival will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Anglican Church – Saint James, Kaloleni, Arusha.
Speaking about the event, one of the organizers said:
“We are not coming to compete, but rather, come all and praise and glorify the LORD, for the winner from the beginning is Jesus Christ.”
This is a unique opportunity for Christians and the wider community to come together in worship, strengthen spiritual unity, and celebrate through gospel music.
